All citizens of every political persuasion (or none at all) are welcome to join us for a Taxpayer Tea Party hosted by Coffey County residents at the corner of Highway 75 and Juniatta Street in Burlington. This will be a very informal meet-and-greet event with hot dogs, chips and cool drinks provided. Bring your tea bags, lawn chairs and signs. Each family will receive a free copy of the U.S. Constitution. This will be a non-partisan family event. Obscene signs or comments or personal attacks will not be welcome. Our goal is to share ideas and engage one another in civil conversation.
